HFM Account Types Explained: Cent, Premium, Zero, Pro and InfinityX (2026)

Table of Contents

Quick Answer: HFM offers five main accounts. Cent and Premium have no minimum deposit and no commission, with spreads from 1.2 and 1.4 pips, and suit beginners and general trading. Pro has spreads from 0.6 pips and no commission for a $100 minimum deposit. Zero has raw spreads from 0 on Forex plus a commission from $3 per lot. InfinityX has spreads from 0.3 pips, unlimited leverage and a $500 minimum deposit, and it carries the highest risk. If you want the account that is rebated at the highest rate through FN Trading Lab, that is Premium, at up to $12/lot on Gold.

Transparency note: The spreads below are the lowest "from" figures on each account page, and live spreads change through the day. The rebate mentioned in this article is the highest rate on the Premium account at the 100% tier. Other accounts are rebated separately, so message FN Trading Lab for their figures.

HFM is known for giving traders a choice of account instead of a single setup. That is useful, but it also makes the first decision harder. This guide takes the five accounts one by one, using HFM's own account pages, and ends with a simple way to choose. For the broker as a whole, including regulation and platforms, see our HFM review.

The Five Accounts One by One#

Cent: the smallest way to start#

The Cent account is denominated in US cents (USC), and one cent lot equals 1,000 units, so a 0.01 lot position is very small. There is no minimum deposit and no commission, and spreads start from 1.2 pips. You can trade Forex and Gold only. Limits to know about: a maximum of 200 cent lots per position, 1,000 cent lots in total, and 150 simultaneous open orders. It suits beginners moving from a demo to real money, and experienced traders who want to test a new strategy with little capital. If you plan to run a grid or an EA with many open positions, check those caps first.

Premium: the standard account#

Premium is HFM's straightforward retail account: no minimum deposit, no commission, and spreads from 1.4 pips. It trades all of HFM's instruments, in USD or EUR, with a maximum of 60 standard lots per position and 500 open orders. Symbols have no suffix (EURUSD, XAUUSD). For most traders who simply want to trade without thinking about commission, this is the default choice, and it is the account the rebates in our HFM rebate guide are based on.

Pro: tighter spreads, still no commission#

Pro is built for more experienced traders. Spreads start from 0.6 pips with no commission, and the minimum deposit is $100. Like Premium it covers all instruments, in USD or EUR, with 60 standard lots per position. Symbols carry an "r" suffix (EURUSDr, XAUUSDr). If your strategy is sensitive to spread but you do not want to track a separate commission, Pro sits between Premium and Zero.

Zero: raw spreads plus commission#

Zero offers raw spreads from 0 on Forex symbols, with commission starting from $3 per lot. HFM's table shows a round-turn commission of $6 per standard lot on the listed Forex pairs and $10 per 100 ounces on Gold. Raw spreads apply to specific symbols only, and symbols carry a "b" suffix (XAUUSDb). Because you pay commission on top of the spread, compare the all-in cost on a demo before assuming Zero is cheaper. HFM's page shows the minimum deposit as $0 in the account table and $25 in its FAQ, so confirm it when you register.

InfinityX: unlimited leverage, highest risk#

InfinityX has spreads from 0.3 pips, no commission and a $500 minimum deposit. Its defining feature is unlimited leverage with no margin requirement and a 0% stop-out level (the margin call level is 20%). It covers Forex, Metals, Indices, Cryptocurrencies and Energies, and symbols carry an "x" suffix. Unlimited leverage amplifies losses as much as gains, and a 0% stop-out means positions are not closed automatically until your equity is exhausted. It is not designed for beginners, and HFM publishes separate terms for it.

Which HFM Account Should You Choose?#

  • First time trading real money: Cent, with a small deposit, after practising on a demo.
  • Regular trading, no commission, simple setup: Premium.
  • Spread-sensitive, but no separate commission: Pro.
  • Scalping or high volume, comfortable adding commission to the cost: Zero.
  • Experienced, accepts very high risk and wants unlimited leverage: InfinityX.

Symbol Suffixes: A Detail That Matters for EAs#

On HFM the same instrument is named differently by account: no suffix on Premium (EURUSD), "r" on Pro (EURUSDr), "b" on Zero (XAUUSDb) and "x" on InfinityX (GBPUSDx). If you move an Expert Advisor or a saved chart template between accounts, check that it points to the right symbol name. For the platform differences themselves, see MT4 vs MT5.

Rebate by Account Type#

Through FN Trading Lab, the Premium account is rebated at up to $12/lot on Gold at the 100% tier, along with $9/lot on the major forex pairs and up to $20/lot on BTCUSD. Cent, Pro, Zero and InfinityX are rebated differently, usually at rates that differ from Premium, so message FN Trading Lab for their figures before you open one. The rebate conditions and a worked example are in the HFM rebate guide.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Conclusion#

HFM's five accounts cover most trading styles: Cent for a tiny start, Premium for simple commission-free trading, Pro for tighter spreads, Zero for raw spreads with commission, and InfinityX for traders who accept very high risk. For most people the real choice is between Cent and Premium to start, then Pro or Zero once costs matter. Practise on a demo, then choose the account that matches how you trade.
