Wukong 03 Review: Controlled-Entry DCA EA for MT5

Table of Contents

Quick Answer: Wukong 03 is an MT5 expert advisor that runs a DCA-style "controlled cost aggregator" strategy, using RSI, Fibonacci, and ATR filters to pick more selective entry points instead of adding orders purely on price distance. It supports five DCA methods and flexible lot management, and can merge manually placed orders into the bot's own sequence. Before anything else: FN Trading Lab's own bot page currently states that the bot's copyright source is unclear and cannot be confirmed from the .ex5 file — this review covers what's documented, but that sourcing question is unresolved and worth knowing before you decide to run it.

What Is Wukong 03?#

Wukong 03 is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, currently on version 1.0.0, built around a strategy FN Trading Lab calls a Controlled Cost Aggregator — a DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) approach that tries to be more selective about entries than a straightforward price-step DCA system. Where CCBSN v3.0.5adds orders based on trend filters and price steps, Wukong 03 leans specifically on RSI, Fibonacci retracement levels, and ATR to judge whether a given point is actually a "rational" place to add, rather than adding purely because price moved a fixed distance.

FN Trading Lab's own bot listing tags Wukong 03's risk level as "Low" — the same label given to GRID v1.0.1. Given how much of this EA's risk-control picture is undocumented (see below) and how the authorship question remains open, treat that "Low" tag as a starting classification rather than a verified assessment.

Entry Filters & DCA Types#

Wukong 03 offers five distinct DCA methods you can configure:

  1. Step distance — adds an order after price moves a fixed distance.
  2. Step Multiplier — adds using a distance that scales with a multiplier rather than staying fixed.
  3. Signal-based — adds when the bot's internal signal logic triggers, rather than on price distance alone.
  4. MA-based (60/70/80/90...) — adds based on distance from configurable moving-average levels.
  5. Fibonacci-based — adds at configurable Fibonacci retracement levels rather than arbitrary price steps.

An ATR filter sits on top of these, intended to help the bot avoid opening new entries during unusually volatile conditions rather than adding into a volatility spike blindly.

Lot & Order Management#

Volume sizing is flexible across three modes: a manual multiplier, a lot multiplier, or a lot sum (additive) approach — giving you more control over how aggressively the position grows with each addition compared to a single fixed-multiplier system. Wukong 03 also supports merging manually placed orders into the bot's own sequence, so a trader can open a position by hand and have the bot manage the resulting DCA chain — though FN Trading Lab's own notes flag that this requires the trader to actively manage the process to avoid the manual order conflicting with the bot's internal logic.

What's Documented — and What Isn't#

In the interest of not overstating what this EA offers, here's the risk-management picture exactly as FN Trading Lab documents it: the ATR filter, the five DCA type options, and the flexible lot management are confirmed features. Daily profit/loss limits, a trailing stop mechanism, and an emergency sequence-exit mechanism are not currently documented on the bot's page — FN Trading Lab's own listing notes this information still needs to be added if it exists. Recommended currency pairs and timeframes are also listed as not yet confirmed by FN Trading Lab, separate from the bot's technically supported symbols (XAUUSD, BTCUSD) and timeframes (M5, M10, M15).

This needs to be stated plainly rather than buried: FN Trading Lab's own bot detail page currently states that Wukong 03's copyright source is unclear and cannot be confirmed by reading the compiled .ex5 file, and that this needs confirmation before being presented under the FN Trading Lab name. Unlike CCBSN v3.0.5, where authorship is clearly attributed to Bo.Botfx, Wukong 03's origin is, as of this writing, an open question on FN Trading Lab's own listing. If that matters to your decision to use it — and for most traders, knowing who built the tool managing their capital should matter — it's worth asking FN Trading Lab directly for an update before relying on it.

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Use Wukong 03#

Suited for: traders who already prefer a DCA-style approach but want more selective entries than pure price-step averaging, and who are comfortable combining manual order placement with a bot-managed sequence, actively watching for conflicts between the two.

Not suited for: beginners with no DCA/lot-management experience, anyone who needs daily loss limits or a documented emergency exit before they'll run an EA live, or anyone who isn't comfortable trading a tool whose authorship FN Trading Lab itself has not yet confirmed.

Risk Warning#

Wukong 03 still belongs to the DCA/Martingale family of strategies. Its entry filters (RSI/Fibonacci/ATR) are designed to improve where orders get added, but they don't remove the underlying risk: if the order sequence runs against a prolonged trend, or the market sees a sharp volatility spike, capital loss risk remains real. Effectiveness also depends heavily on how well the trader configures the inputs and manages the interaction between manual orders and the bot's own sequence. As noted above, the bot's copyright source is unconfirmed as of this writing. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. This is not investment advice.

How to Get Access#

Wukong 03 sits behind FN Trading Lab's standard bot-access flow, not a simple download: open and verify a trading account with one of FN Trading Lab's supported brokers, complete KYC and the broker's minimum deposit, then submit your account on the bot's detail page for review. Once approved, the current version is available to download directly from there — worth asking about the copyright/sourcing question (above) as part of that same conversation.
